En el tercer cuarto las cifras se estrecharon y Valdivia quedó en ventaja de sólo un punto (57-56) para afrontar los últimos diez minutos.En este último período de juego se fueron punto a punto pero Valdivia supo ser más certero en los momentos claves para ganar merecidamente 77-72.
